I've been coming here since I was a child, probably around 6 or 7, and after 24 years, it still hits the spot. I usually get their egg noodles with duck leg, with a tea to wash it down, and I've never been disappointed. This is very much a no frills type of Cantonese restaurant, and it serves all your basics. Their menu is expansive, and they sell roasted meats out in the front. This is a cash only place. There is a sign out front that states it, but it can be missed if you don't pay attention (it's located right next to the door). The servers speak Cantonese, and I've heard the guy up front speak some English as there are English-speaking only patrons. I've seen so many people from different demographics/age groups come here: young, old, chinese, non-chinese, cops, etc, so you know it's good! Take out can get very busy, I suggest you figure out what you want before getting to the front of the line as it can get a bit hectic. They're roasted duck is also phenomenal. Much, much better than any of the brooklyn or flushing restaurants. It's buttery, not too salty, so smooth and the spices aren't overwhelming. I find that most places in Flushing/Brooklyn, have their duck way too fatty, and the spices are sometimes so overwhelming, that it's all you can taste. My go to's are; Egg noodles with Duck Leg and Half Roasted Duck. I'll sometimes take it to go, and by the time I get back home and have it for dinner (typically 7 hours later), it's still just as good. 100000% recommend!!! Side note: The servers might come off as rude, but to those who are familiar with the culture, that's really just how the servers are. This is very normal among more old-school places. They're not trying to be rude to you, but I do understand, especially if you aren't familiar with it, how it can come off as off-putting. This is the type of place where you sit down, order, eat and leave. It's not really a place where you sit for hours and chat.

This is the local to hit up if you want something warm, delicious, and affordable. I ordered the Roasted Pork Haw Fun in Soup and the pork was extremely juicy and tender. The Hawfun noodles were cooked perfectly and the soup was seasoned well with a touch of sweetness. This is a very fast paced restaurant, and the food comes out quick!

This was an NY Chinese restaurant experience, which is what we were after. We didn't want some fancy restaurant, we wanted the NY vibes. We got that in spades. The place was functional. No fancy decor. But also, not needed. They don't take card, that a con against them. The food was good m, but not the best I've had. The rice needed soy sauce to be flavorful. The beef lo mein was different with its thick noodles. The kung pao was delicious.
